Position Summary
The Flight Dispatcher is a key member of the EB Flight Training operations team, responsible for ensuring the efficient, safe, and legal dispatch of all training and rental flights. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has a passion for aviation and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule daily flight training activities in accordance with aircraft and instructor availability.
- Monitor weather conditions, NOTAMs, TFRs, and airspace restrictions to assess flight safety and advise instructors/students accordingly.
- Ensure proper dispatch and return of aircraft, verifying aircraft status, fuel levels, maintenance squawks, and compliance with airworthiness requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date flight records, student progress logs, and aircraft utilization data using flight scheduling software (e.g., Flight Schedule Pro).
- Communicate effectively with flight instructors, maintenance personnel, and students to facilitate smooth operational flow.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting students and renters with scheduling, preflight procedures, and general inquiries.
- Assist with ramp operations including marshaling aircraft, fueling coordination, and pre/post-flight inspections (as applicable).
- Support compliance with FAA regulations and company SOPs.
- Participate in safety briefings and operational meetings.
- Answer the phone and assist with bookings and cancellations.
Qualifications
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
Basic knowledge of aviation terminology and procedures.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and flight scheduling systems.
Preferred:
Prior experience as a dispatcher in a flight training or FBO environment.
FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate (a plus, not required).
Private Pilot Certificate or current enrollment in a flight training program.
