Daytona Beach's Flexible Flight School

Part 61 flight training at KDAB for students in Daytona Beach, Ormond Beach, New Smyrna Beach, DeLand, Deltona, Palm Coast, and the greater Orlando area.

Private Pilot, Instrument, Commercial, CFI, and CFII on your schedule at transparent hourly rates. No contracts. No pressure.

Choosing a Flight School in Daytona Beach?

EB Flight Training operates out of KDAB, the same Class C airspace where the professionals train. Our flexible Part 61 model means you control the pace, the schedule, and the cost. We serve students from Volusia, Flagler, and Seminole counties, and yes, from as far as Orlando.

ERAU Student Looking for Additional Training Options?

Whether you need extra proficiency flights, want to knock out a rating faster, or are finishing up your Private Pilot on the side, we work with Embry-Riddle students every day. Part 61 means no rigid schedule, no waitlists, and nothing standing between you and the cockpit.

Train Smart. Continue Without Interruption.

Learn in a Cessna 172. The Same Airplane You'll Fly at ERAU.

If you are planning to continue your flight training at Embry-Riddle after earning your Private Pilot certificate, starting in our Cessna 172 is a direct investment in your readiness. ERAU uses the Cessna 172 as its primary trainer, which means every hour you log with us translates seamlessly into their program.

The same maneuvers. The same aerodynamic responses. The same sight picture on approach. When you show up to ERAU already comfortable in a 172, you are not starting over. You are building on a foundation that matches their curriculum from day one.

For students who want a head start, or who simply want to build hours and proficiency at a flexible pace before committing to a university flight program, our Part 61 training in the 172 is the most practical bridge available in Daytona Beach.

Same Airframe as ERAU

Train in the Cessna 172, the exact platform used in Embry-Riddle's primary flight curriculum. No transition time lost.

Same Maneuvers

Steep turns, slow flight, stalls, ground reference maneuvers. You will practice them all here, exactly as ERAU will expect them.

Same Aerodynamic Responses

Pitch, power, and trim habits carry over. Muscle memory built in our 172 is the same muscle memory that serves you in theirs.

Set Yourself Up for Success

Arrive at ERAU as the student who already knows the airplane. That confidence compounds through every stage of your training.

Frequently Asked Questions

Real answers to real questions from prospective students.

Q.Do I need any prior experience to start?

No experience is required to begin Private Pilot training. We'll take you from zero flight time all the way to checkride-ready.

Q.I'm an ERAU student. Can I train with you for extra hours?

Absolutely. Many of our students are Embry-Riddle students who need additional proficiency time, want to work toward a specific rating on their own schedule, or are completing their Private Pilot certificate before enrolling in a university flight program. We work alongside your academic schedule.

Q.What aircraft do you train in?

We train in Cessna 172s based at KDAB. The 172 is also ERAU's primary trainer, so students who plan to continue at Embry-Riddle are building hours in the same airframe, with the same aerodynamic responses and maneuver profiles they will see there. Our aircraft are clean, well-maintained, and equipped with modern avionics.

Q.What does Part 61 mean vs Part 141?

Part 61 allows flexible, individualized training. You progress at your own pace rather than following a rigid approved course curriculum. This often means faster completion for motivated students and more scheduling flexibility.

Q.How do I get started?

Schedule a free new student meeting. We'll talk through your goals, show you around, and give you a realistic picture of what training will look like, with no pressure to commit on the spot.

Q.Do you offer financing?

Yes. We partner with aviation financing options to help make training accessible. Visit our financing page for details.
