International Students

Flight training opportunities for international students already in the United States on valid visas.

Who Can Train With Us

We can offer flight training lessons to foreign students who are already in the United States on a valid visa. This includes:

Green Card Holders

Permanent residents of the United States can train without additional visa requirements.

Student Visa Holders (F-1, M-1)

College students on valid student visas can train with us while attending their primary institution.

Other Valid Visas

Individuals on other valid U.S. visas may be eligible for training. Contact us to discuss your specific situation.

College Students

International students at Embry-Riddle and other local universities are prime examples of those we can serve.

Enrollment Process for International Students

Step 1

Document Scanning & TSA Application

Contact EB Flight Training to schedule an appointment for document collection and scanning. We will help you complete your TSA application.

Required Documents:

  • • Valid passport
  • • Current U.S. visa documentation
  • • Proof of residence in the United States
  • • Additional documents as required by TSA
Step 2

TSA Fingerprinting

Wait for TSA to request fingerprinting. Once notified, complete the fingerprinting requirements at an approved location.

Processing Time: TSA processing can take several weeks. We recommend starting this process as early as possible.

Step 3

Wait for TSA Approval

TSA will review your application and background check. You cannot begin flight training until you receive TSA approval.

During this waiting period, you can prepare by studying for your FAA written exam and completing ground school materials.

Step 4

Begin Flight Training

Once you receive TSA approval, schedule your first flight lesson and begin your training! EB Flight will guide you through every step of your aviation journey.

You're Ready to Fly!

With TSA approval complete, you can focus on your training and work toward earning your pilot certificates.

Additional Information

TSA Requirements

All foreign nationals (non-U.S. citizens) must complete TSA security screening before beginning flight training, regardless of visa status.

This is a federal requirement and applies to all flight schools in the United States.

Training Limitations

Your ability to train is tied to your visa status. Ensure your visa remains valid throughout your training period.

Contact us if you have questions about how your specific visa type affects your training eligibility.
